Ok. If you're here and reading this, you want to have a JOY plan, so the next question is what brings you JOY? Only you can decide what that is for you. I started a list in my notebook (which is the first thing that brings me JOY). Here are some things on my list:

1. Notebooking
2. Markers, pens, crayons
3. Stickers & washi tape
4. Self manicures
5. Getting outside. Looking up. Breathing deeply.
6. Going for a drive.
7. Listening to music.
8. Podcasts.
9. Movies, TV shows, YouTube Videos
10. Bubble baths
11. Coloring books
12. Candles
13. Mailing cards to friends
14. Catching up with family and friends
15. Laughing & giggling
16. Finding time to be quiet

This is just the beginning...the list continues to grow. Whenever something else pops up, I add it to my list.

I've created a JOY Box. It's a container that holds some of the items from my list above, so it's all together.

Music is important to me. I love to listen to music, so I created a playlist for my JOY plan.

What will be part of your JOY Plan? Please share resources! We can all help each other find the JOY!

We are in day 39485739473628454943 of this pandemic and next week there is a big election. The universe is showing me how to survive this next week by having three different people tell me about something called a JOY Plan. (Thank you Angela, Jen O, and Kelly!)

It's what it sounds like- purposefully and explicitly planning for moments of JOY.

First of all, this does not mean that I will be happy and sunshine, unicorns and rainbows Michelle next week. NO. It doesn't mean that I am not aware of the struggles we are all plagued with. NO. This is a survival technique. I know those words sound dramatic, but let me assure you, they are not. We are all struggling and grieving for our lives pre-pandemic. Constant stress is not good for any of us. I see the results in my life, but I needed help seeing those results because when you live with something for so long, it becomes your new normal.

This JOY Plan (#haseltineJOYplan) is my attempt at dealing with the stress and bringing more purposeful moments of JOY into my days.

I hope you join me. Consider this your invitation! I will be posting ideas and resources for all to use. Please share resources or ideas if you have them. We can never have too many!

Onward to discover our JOY!
