Daily Challenge?

6/25/2021

I started this challenge on June 18th. It was a simple attempt to make this summer a good summer. I had some fears that I would feel lonely and it would bring me back to how I felt in quarantine. Being single, it's easy to get into a rut and not get out there, so this was my solution.
I thought that I'd complete a challenge every few days...instead, I have completed one each day. I have added more challenge cards too and I am having FUN!!! Some of the challenges are real risks for me but many are just things that make me happy. I get this feeling of accomplishment when I complete a challenge.

Yesterday I had plans to complete a different card and at the last minute plans were postponed. The challenge cards helped me so much because I dove back into the pile and picked out another one.

This summer I'll be visiting my niece and nephew (and the rest of my family). I am bringing my cards and I'm going to invite them to make some cards for us to complete together. I already have my card for our time together and I can't wait!

How is your summer challenge going? Haven't started yet? It's never too late!!

Meeting the Challenge- Update

6/21/2021

And the challenge begins...

So far this summer, I have gone to the pool and enjoyed some delicious soft serve ice cream. Mmmmm!!!!

I want to remember this summer and how I spend my days, so I am documenting my progress. Here's what I do- once I complete one of the challenge activities, I write the date on the card so I remember when I completed it. Then I take a postcard size journal card and I write about it. I add a photo too...

This way, I will always remember how I spend my summer days. I am still adding challenge cards. There is no shame if I don't finish. This is to encourage me to have fun and get out of my own way. Last summer was lonely and really hard, so I am determined to make this summer much better. How is your summer going?

Summer Challenge!

6/19/2021

My school year ended this week and I decided to make a plan for my summer. I'm calling it my summer challenge. I've spent some time thinking about things I love doing and how I'd like to spend my days. That list has been growing since April. NOW, it's time to put it into action...

I started with some small journaling cards. On each card, I wrote down something I'd like to do this summer. Some of these things are solo activities and some are with friends. Some of these activities can happen at home and some require going out. Most are free or cost very little. I've written more than thirty of these cards. Here are some of them...

My next step is to start DOING. I will draw a card from the deck and my journey begins. I want to remember this summer, so I have a part two to this plan. I also have postcard size journaling cards. When something is accomplished from my challenge deck, I will put the date on it and then take a larger card and write about that memory. Hopefully, I will have a photo to accompany my fun!

How will you spend your days of summer?
